We were founded at the turn of 2018-2019 and we are a team of 15 young enthusiasts of traveling and learning about new cultures, which provides guests with a unique accommodation experience. Already in 2019, we won the International Hospitality Awards in Kyiv, Ukraine, where there were 26 hotel categories, including one for hostels, and the winner was determined from a total of 8,000 nominations. A year after that, i.e. in 2020, we managed to win an international award again. Anyone who has ever travelled to Japan has surely tried a local specialty for a cheap night over – capsule hostel. Japanese people are well known for futuristic innovations and this type of accommodation is a clear prove of that. It was established as a response to a constantly increasing population and it keeps on growing nowadays. Kisho Kurokawa , the architect, is the inventor of capsule solutions. Hotel designed by Kurokawa in 1979 is still operating and at the same time it is still one of the best hotels. Two floors of sleeping bulks in long opposite rows serve as a hostel. You will find shared toilets, shared showers, shared common premises. The advantage of a capsule hotel compared to a hostel dwells in closing but not locking of one´s own sleeping space by means of the doors, blinds or curtains. Although some people could argue it is like sleeping in a box, the innovative design just cannot be denied. Despite a perfectly developed air exchange and air conditioning someone who is claustrophobic would definitely not sleep in here. Hostel Chors has just opened its doors with this unique type of accommodation in Bratislava.
